Featured Marble Slab: Vermont Imperial Danby

Vermont Imperial Danby Slab
By: Fordham Marble | Dec. 19, 2017 |

This project is courtesy of a three time returning client of Fordham Marble. Our client was renovating her town house in New Canaan which required multiple selections of natural stone, including marble and onyx as well as a mosaic black splash for the laundry room – which you can read about in our Tile It Up Now blog.

For her kitchen, our client needed a durable stone, capable of withstanding heat and water that was stunning enough to impress her holiday guests. We worked through many selections with our client and decided on the Vermont Imperial Danby, a timeless marble and premier solution for kitchen countertops.

Vermont Imperial Danby Backsplash

With a soft white background and light grey and gold veins, the Vermont Imperial Danby was the perfect choice to compliment the rest of our client's home renovations. Note the honed and sealed finish with a full height back splash and the custom curved side splash, designed by Nina Cuccio Peck of NCParch.com. Did you know this marble is in fact, harvested from a New England based quarry? Hence, the name Vermont Imperial Danby.
