We went to a number of places to look for countertops and a backsplash, but no one could match the selection or the personal service we received at Fordham. I've employed Fordham Marble on various projects over the past decade. I'm one of those architects who strives for perfection, but the reality is that one attains that level of workmanship with only certain select carpenters, masons and cabinetmakers - people you have happily worked with for a long time. Fordham Marble's installation crew is one of these extraordinary finds. They are meticulous, organized, efficient. I don't worry because I know that, no matter the complexity of the installation, it will end up flawless. Moreover they ask the right questions and welcome dialogue with the architect.

And I should add that their inventory of stone and tile is impressive, and the sales people have lots of experience and offer informed advice.

I know you're leaving for your vacay soon and I just want to thank you, from the bottom of my little pneumonia-filled heart, for everything that you've done for me and my clients. The Goleman project is of course forefront in my mind because it's most recent and especially after receiving the picture of the stunning take-off from the Canadians, I'm now fully convinced that you are the ultimate tile-whisperer. No one manifests the way you do!!!

But looking back at the now many jobs we've done together, not one has left me disappointed and I thank you for that. Anything that went wrong, you somehow righted. We are in the midst of renovating our home and our Architect/Builder suggested we go to Fordham Marble. We couldn't of been happier with this recommendation. I worked mostly with Joyce (and Wendy too) and we went room by room until we found the perfect combinations. They have a huge showroom, so no need to visit other locations, and honestly it is a one stop shop. I really dreaded this part of the renovation, it can be so time consuming, but even after my first visit I accomplished so much. They were so helpful and had such excellent ideas, it truly was a joy. I've worked with Fordham Marble for over twelve years, and they have my back. They have a combination of great fabrication expertise and a great showroom, whereas most companies like them only have one of those things. I know I can trust them with my clients, and in the unlikely event that anything goes wrong, they'll put a rush on my job to fix the problem. They're always the first company I turn to.

Some places for tile and marble are messy and overwhelming, but not Fordham. Their showroom is beautiful and nicely laid out, and I love taking my clients there. They have a wide selection of both slabs and tile, and you can really get to like your options as opposed to simply choosing something. Their fabrication is also good, with very accurate templating. Fordham's costs are also very reasonable, not the cheapest, but competetively priced for the high level of quality they deliver.

I wish to recognize the work of each of your employees, especially Mayson Linn, Designer and Sales Manager. Mayson spent time with my sons and myself in selecting flooring that would not compete with the granite countertop I had selected and his recommendation was perfect. He also recommended the tile backsplash for our use and helped us match the pencil molding for the top of it as the glass tile we selected did not make one. That was perfect as well.

Mayson knows what products work well with other kitchen products and he takes in to consideration how we will use our kitchen so the best selections are made. He is also a good listener and I appreciate him for coaching me through a few rough times in the renovation.

I would also like to thank him for his recommendation of GSE Marble and Tile LLC in Darien as the team who installed the backsplash was terrific. They were exceptionally professional and made certain that it was installed correctly. I also appreciate the promptness with which the backsplash was installed.

In short, I loved the service that the entire staff of Fordham Marble provided to me. Thank you Fordham!!

Wow, everything worked out better than we thought it would with our slabs. The second set of Danby slabs were beautiful (better than the first) and we’re very impressed that Lou and company noticed hair line cracks.
